"DISTRICT C" is waiting for you!

DISTRICT C is a section of the abandoned space station that also houses CLUB CUPIDUS. Apparently, DISTRICT C was the area where the workers lived – in other words, the part of the station where, after a hard day’s work, you kick off your boots, slam your helmet down on the table and try to forget the day with a drink that’s just about legal.

The dark, winding alleys form a veritable labyrinth of old maintenance tunnels, crooked neon signs and doors behind which something is bound to be happening. It’s easy to get lost here – which initially worries many visitors, until they realise that this is usually how you stumble upon the best bars.

Amidst flickering neon tubes lie smoke-filled pubs, makeshift gambling dens and countless spots where people play, drink, chat or simply hang out. Somewhere, a slot machine is always clinking; someone is telling a story that goes on far too long; and somewhere else, a regular insists with absolute conviction that he holds the station record for losing cards.

There have even been reports of ghost sightings. Whether these are truly the restless spirits of former workers or merely particularly creative night owls with too much smoke machine remains unclear to this day. Most guests agree that a ghost is, at the very least, a good excuse if a glass suddenly falls off the table.

There are also rumours of an underground laboratory where plants are apparently still being grown – plants that glow, whisper or occasionally try to snap at visitors. The official station management, of course, claims to know nothing about it. That only makes the whole thing even more suspicious.

And hidden amidst this wonderfully chaotic jumble of bars, rumours and eccentric characters is a small club: the BLUE BASEMENT. A place for intimate, sophisticated events – for jazz, for good drinks and for people who know full well that the best stories rarely begin on the big stages.

Anyone who enjoys travelling through the sometimes breathtaking worlds of Second Life will love DISTRICT C. Countless details across the two levels tell stories that are sometimes wild and imaginative. Lights, shadows and sounds will transport you to a completely new experience.

Of course, there are even more beautiful worlds in Second Life. But it was important to us that DISTRICT C – just like Club Cupidus, by the way – isn’t just a feast for the eyes, but can also be put to practical use. There are virtually no places that cannot be used or played in. No empty façades, no sterile, right-angled streets that are merely clean and tidy.

Help us! Explore DISTRICT C! Bring your friends, your enemies, the whole shebang. Explore, try things out and, above all: spread the word! We look forward to welcoming you to District C. We’re also happy to hear your ideas. Your feedback is very welcome. Have fun exploring.
